My Concepts
"Art should have esthetic values
as well as it should both touch and engage the spectator. This
simple & concise statement best expresses my objectives."
My works are my expressions and follows
my passion, feelings and emotions, when I create art works,
I just want to drag / stretch people towards some particular
emotions, some touching feelings on a personal level, threw
my works. Art is the balance of the heart and the mind, of feeling
and thinking, I believe, my works are not direct, they are symbolic
and having concept behind them. I've not used objects in their
own way, I've taken them just to express my feelings towards
a particular emotion or subject. Because I just don't want to
spoon feed the spectator but to give them just enough information
/ clew to make a connection with the work. It's true that the
spectator can also add his own meaning to art. Each mind is
unique and our thoughts and emotions are influenced according
to our own evolution of mind. So its inevitable that individual
spectator can add meaning to my works. So the most important
issue in my art is that it expresses and stirs emotions. It
is a record of what I am feeling and at the same time, it can
bring oboist emotional reactions in the spectator.
My work speaks threw non-traditional
objects of art, transformed into emotionally eloquent environments.
I translate the objects in my own way, I don't carry them in
their totality for conceptual depiction. The more suggestion
or the symbolic representation connotes my work. I've used an
assortment of common materials from glass to mirrors, stones,
balls and other ready-made objects whatever best expresses my
concepts.
The reason, why I've taken installations
as my art forms, is that they are free from boundaries and fixation
of materials. Installation has enabled me to create more personal
and emotional work. I take very intimate memories, feelings
and ideas and express them in a profound manner. I believe that
ready-made objects allow me to express my ideas on feelings,
emotions, philosophy of life more vividly that with any other
medium. The challenge for me as an artist is to interpret these
ideas in a way that both touch and engage the viewer.
